Fall Book Club!

Thanks to Bridget for picking an interesting book in Breed.  Laura graciously volunteered to host the next book club.  We will be reading Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter.  The book is available in many forms in the library. 

As for meeting time, see your email or FB for the poll to decide.  With school and other stuff coming up, you have until the end of August to do the poll.

Enjoy your last bits of summer!  By the time we meet again for book club, it will be dark outside when we're meeting (sniff).

Sorry I was not there this week - I'm feeling better.  Thank you to Kelly and Laura for the book selections for our twofer book club!  Heather has volunteered to do the next meeting.  The book she selected is called Kindred by Octavia Butler.  We will be meeting Thursday May 26th (before Memorial Day).  Happy Reading!

Furiously Happy and Other News

So I sent out the poll to decide the next meeting of book club (the link is in the email I sent and on our FB group. Please respond by 2/21/16.

In some EXCITING news, Laura entered our group into a contest which we won and she got us a free book to review.  I believe we need to do it in the month of April so we got reading Furiously Happy now so we can read the next book which is MOST WANTED, Lisa Scottoline’s upcoming novel.  Thank you Laura! 

Once Laura has the books, we'll get the word out to you all!

Finally, today is Heather's birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATHER!

Brrrr..... Can I get a bufriedo?

Last night we enjoyed some Mexican food while going over in great detail quotes and ideas from John Green's first YA novel.  We mostly liked Looking for Alaska but are definitely ready for something more adult!  Kelly is hosting the next book club in early March.  The book is Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson.  I'll send out a poll for the meeting time.

November Book Club

So we did not have a huge turnout for Never Let Me Go...Maybe we did not love this book....  Thanks to Bridget for hosting two times in a row! 

In honor of Hallow's Eve, Laura has picked The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson as our next book.  The next meeting is scheduled for Monday Nov 2nd.  Hope to see you all there!!!!
