We can BEAR no more!

Ha just kidding! As a group, The Bear and the Nightingale was probably a 3.5 stars. Most of us that attended this week read and liked the book enough. I think some of us will read the other two books in the trilogy perhaps!

Laura H is hosting the next book club and the book we are reading is Infinite Country by Patricia Engel.

We will aim for mid June to give everyone a chance to get the book. It's not terribly long so it's just a matter of procuring it!

 

Spring Book Selection

We had a good discussion about Then She Was Gone. Consensus was the book was decent but maybe a little predictable. Heather is hosting next and she gave me her selection already for the Spring book club: The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden. We will meet towards the end of March after Spring Break so hopefully that is enough time to obtain and read the book.

Little Darlings and our Next Book Selection

Consensus on Little Darlings by Melanie Golding was that it was an enjoyable read despite some of the maternal emotions that many of us related to in the main character's postpartum struggles.  Lisa P volunteered to host the next book and she has already given us her selection. Our next book will be Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell. We will meet early Jan so hopefully over the holidays, you will all have time to secure and read this book!
